A History
Our tournament takes place during the Calgary Stampede, one of the world’s largest rodeos!
Over the years, it has grown into one of Canada’s most prestigious 7s tournaments. 2025 marks 63 years since our first tournament. To further promote the sport among both young athletes and passionate players, we have expanded to include 35+ Masters and Junior Divisions.
The Premier Division has showcased incredible rugby talent, with past champions including touring teams from the U.K., Fijian nationals, members of Canada’s and USA's international squads.
Our mission remains to deliver a top-tier 7s tournament while supporting the growth and popularity of this exciting Olympic sport.
